How do I turn off the flashlight on my phone?

Method 1: Press and hold the Lock Screen button for 1 second
Wake your phone screen. In the bottom-left corner, find the round circle with a flashlight icon 🔦. Press your thumb down firmly on it and hold for 1 full second until you feel a vibration/tap, then let go.

Method 2: Swipe down Control Center and tap the flashlight tile
Swipe your finger downwards from the very top-right corner of your screen (where the battery bar is). Look for the square tile with the lit flashlight icon and tap it once to turn it off.

Method 3 (Android): Swipe down Quick Settings from the top
On Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel, swipe down from the top edge of your screen with two fingers. Tap the blue or highlighted "Flashlight" (or "Torch") icon to turn it off.

A quick tap does nothing to prevent accidents in your pocket. You must press firmly and hold your thumb down for a full second until you feel the phone vibrate, then release.
