How To Fix Computer Network Problems

For fast communication, computer’s networks play vital roles. These networks are cheap ways of communication that involve the distribution of resources and different kinds of information amongst interconnected devices. But when such attached devices stop to work properly and you will feel that fixing of these problems is really tough. Computer Can't get in touch with the Network
There are different reasons behind the current state of a computer but with the help of following tips one can easily solve these network issues.

  • Next to the network cable, there is a green light on the back of computer that should be turned-on if not then establish the cable connection again after disconnecting it. If it does not work, check all working order or network infrastructure for it. In fact network cable is attached with the router or working hub. Whatever the case, unplug the cable for the proper connection otherwise replace the network cable with a new one.
  • In order to check the network card stability, first go to the computer’s “control panel” and open the “system” option by double clicking. In that window, click-on “hardware” tab. Here “device manager” option is available for looking into “Network Adapters". If an explanation point or a red X point will appear by clicking on its attached plus sign then it means network card is the bone of contention. At the moment, you need to turn-off and open the computer casing. Place back network card after removing it properly. Now put together the computer’s parts for starting purpose. If error still remains after this step then it means you have to replace the card.   
  • But in case of network card consistency, you need to weigh-up the network configuration. For this purpose, check the properties of "Network Places" icon on your computer’s desktop.  By clicking on it with mouse right button, a drop-down menu will show you this option. Check the “local area connection” click with right mouse button on it then go to its properties and select "TCP/IP" option for solving problem.

Note: for IP address, subnet mask and gateway confirmation, check that your computer IP address is different from other computers connected in the same network.  Moreover, given subnet mask and gateway must be of the allied router or hub. Another option for IP address automatic reception is also accessible. So for taking the delivery of IP address automatically click on “start” button from taskbar. Open “run” window from popup menu and write "cmd" in the text box. Now type "ipconfig/release" when a new screen will be opened, after that type "ipconfig /renew" command to get a new IP address. Moreover, write "ipconfig /flushdns" command to delete DNS settings from your computer system.

Managing Computers on the Network

To arrange computers in a network properly click-on “start” button and select “control panel” option from the popup menu. Open the “system” double click-on it. Opened screen will show you   "Computer Name" tab. You can check here network id, workgroup and computer name. Furthermore, you can write the computer description here. For the surety of following:

  • Client for Microsoft Windows
  • File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks
  • Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
