Antivirus and spy ware: Both of the terms  are collectively called as Mal ware and play a vital role in safety of your computer. If you don't install an effective antivirus with proven track record your system is prune to any kind of threat if it suffers from a virus such as deletion of files,spamming of mails even hardware crash and in case of spy ware your each activity is monitored and you can end up with your confidential information stolen so it is of prime importance to scan your system frequently and stay alert while connected to Internet.
